I know Mark and others discussed this several months ago but I just want to remind everyone about the importance of voting "NO" for the three Iowa Supreme Court Justices up for retention vote on this November 2nd ballot!! They are: Chief Justice Marsha Ternus -- Justice David Baker -- Justice Michael Streit. These are the 3 judges that paved the way for gay marriages in our state. I, for one, along with many others feel they should be kicked off the bench. Quoting Vander Plaats -- "This election, in my opinion, to remove these judges is one of, if not THE most important election in our country." "If the judges can do this to marriage, every one of your freedoms is up for grabs." (Pointing to gun rights, freedom of speech, and freedom of religion as possible future targets of a runaway judiciary.) This November let's hold our justices accountable!! I urge everyone to vote "NO" on their retention!!

Roger that! A lot of the people I've talked to that show some degree of uncertainty about the judges focused mainly on the reason same-sex marriage case decision, I explain it to them this way I compare the issue to an iceberg the homosexual part is just the part that you see above the surface of the water but as most people know the vast majority of an iceberg cannot be seen and that's what makes it dangerous!
I found it necessary in talking with these people to lay a foundation of the law and the separation of powers because there is so many people that have never felt it necessary to study how the system works or rather should work and it's been my experience that after I've explained to them the situation they always ask two things "why don't more people know about this" and "if it is as you say why has it been allowed to go on like this for so long?"
I just tell them that people blindly trust in the integrity of the system to the point where they just ran on assumptions and it wasn't directly hurting them, kind of like slowly boiling the frog scenario and then I wrap it up by telling them that people are waking up to it that's what the tea parties and all the other groups are about and if they really want to do something they can start by voting no on the judges and listen to Jan Michelson and Steve Deace and the guests they have on associate with like-minded people and start reading!
I have high hopes for the elections in November but if it should turn out to be slightly less than what we would like we will not be discouraged but take what we have and keep building on it, this is only the beginning of the restoration but with determination we can do it. Eventually we will run off the two-faced politicians like Doug Gross and his hand-picked moral coward Republicrat that believes courts can make law.
Personally, I can't vote for Branstad so I'm going with Jonathan I just wish he could have attended some of the debates, that's another thing about the system we need to change.

Hi Restoration4us,
You have hit the nail on the head. Both Parties have been infiltrated this should be obvious to most individuals now. Mr. Narcisse has tried very hard to get into the remaining debates but the as of this week he has not been able to make any headway. Folks WE MUST VOTE FOR THOSE INDIVIDUALS WHO WILL UPHOLD OUR CONSTITUTION AND WORK TO PRESERVE OUR INDIVIDUAL FREEDOMS! The "golbal elite" want to control the world and take our nation down. I will post something on this subject shortly.
We need discernment in the candidate we vote for and not stick to party lines. It is of my opinion the majority of both party members are on track for the same agenda to destroy our nation. We need these individuals voted out of OUR HOUSES. Please vote wisely.
