The year was 1215 A.D. and King John of England signed the Magna Charta. The king had two choices either sign the agreement between the people and the king or be killed by the people. What lead to the people’s outrage of King John? The people became serfs because King John claimed ownership of the land in which the people dwelled. This type of governance became known as the “feudal system”. Under the feudal system the King was the highest and most important individual in command. The King gave grants of land to his nobleman. These noblemen were called “Barons and Bishops” these individuals were to supply the King with soldiers in time of war. At the bottom of a feudal system pyramid are the individuals who made up the social class, the peasants (freeman), servants (slaves), craftsmen, etc… Everyone owned a service to a person higher up on the feudal system pyramid. An individual either farmed or fought for that person above them, in return for their service an individual was given either land or protection.

                                                               The Feudal System Pyramid

                                                                                  King

The King depended on the Barons to provide knights and soldiers in time of war.

                                                                                   Baron

The Baron’s were the most powerful and wealthy noblemen, they received their grants

                       directly from the King.

                                                                                  Bishops

A Bishop had as much power as a Baron. They ruled over all areas of the church which

included the priest, convents and monasteries. The collection of taxes made Bishops

                     very wealthy.

                                                                                Lords

A Lord (knight) ruled over the manors. They would rent their land to peasants who worked for

them. Those knights trained were bound by oaths to serve the nobles who had granted them

                   their land.

                                                                              Peasants

The peasants were at the bottom of the feudal pyramid. They were to farm the land to provide

food for everyone. There were occasions where a peasant was given a piece of land to farm in

return for their labor on the lord’s land.

The Baron’s along with the people became fed up with the feudal system of government in which they lived under and they rebelled against King John. The Baron’s formed an army and took on King John’s army. The Baron’s army defeated the King’s army. The Baron’s took the Magna Charta-The Great Charter of England to King John to have him sign it which would end their servitude to the king. The Baron’s held King John at sword point and gave him an ultimatum; either you sign the Magna Charta or die. The king signed the document. From the signing of the document the people acquired a two-law system. The people were now free to control their law and became the master over those who governed (the king and government). The Magna Charta became a law which would secure the people’s right to bear arms and to use those arms to enforce the Magna Charta.

We use to have a working two-law system in the United States of America. Our Three Branch’s of government are being taken away from the people and will eventually become a “King John” if the people let it happen. We the people have lost control of our GOVERNMENT. Our freedoms are being taken away from us and if this trend continues our nation will be destroyed. When the government makes the laws the people do not get represented and become servants to the government. What will happen to the United States of America? Will history be repeated? Will the people take a stand against the government and return to a two-law system ran by the people? What will you do?

I am just letting people understand how we formed this nation and what our nation will look like if we do nothing to preserve our Constitution.

Well done Mark, generations of government education has rendered the American people to a large degree ignorant of their own historical foundation that their rights and freedom are based upon, some of the history revisionism is a result of nothing more than incompetence of the instructors but in my opinion the larger portion has been accomplished with a malicious purpose for the deconstruction of Western civilization through political correctness and the multicultural and diversity scam to create a generation of Americans who are not only unable to defend their own civilization but are unwilling whereby leaving the gates unguarded so Marxist philosophies can walk right in and sow the seeds of our destruction.

Mike

"If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be."

Thomas Jefferson to Charles Yancey, 1816

"I know no safe depository of the ultimate powers of the society but the people themselves, (A)nd if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them, but to inform their discretion by education. This is the true corrective of abuses of constitutional power." Thomas Jefferson

Hi Mike,

I am one of those individuals who had gone through school and not been taught the basic principals of our history. I am playing catch up now. When I come across some of the basics I try to share the information because many others might be in the same position as I have found myself in.
