The healthcare reform bill which is, in my opinion, the worst piece of legislation in years, is set to be voted on tomorrow, Saturday. Many of our leaders, including Steve King are fighting to prevent this bill from being passed. It is in our best interest if we can support their efforts by calling our legislators in their DC offices, call the White House and get the word out that WE the American People DO NOT WANT MORE GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION....Tell them that if they vote yes on the bill, we will record their names and begin a push to get them voted out of office whether they live in our districts and states or not. Tell them that while you are one voter, you have a whole slew of concerned citizens in both the Tea Party and 9-12 movements who will vote them out! We the people have spoken!

Hi Lawrence! A really great website to join, if you haven't already, is http://www.congress.org/ If you sign up on their website, you will use your zip code to automatically be linked to your own legislators and you can sign up to receive weekly emails on how your leaders voted. You will also have links to your legislators' phone numbers. Hope this helps!

Healthcare reform (DemCare) has just passed today in the Senate 60-39. It is clear that now is the time to organize to defeat the progressive agenda that has slowly taken over both sides of the isle. No longer can we trust that the republicans will keep the dems in check. After watching Grassley on FOX News 2 weeks ago stumble over his tongue when confronted about the millions of pork that he procured for some Cedar Rapids music center and other wasteful projects; I committed to my wife that I would never vote for another lifer politician ever again. Last week our friends in the republican party had a chance to stand up and show us that they really are different from the progressives by putting an end to PORK. Instead they continue with “politics as usual” in an effort to see who can spend the most tax dollars on the dumbest projects. In a time when the economy is tight we should look no further than our own common sense for answers. Right now, if the government was a person with a $100,000 annual income, their credit card debt would be equal to $700,000!!! Think of your own household budget for a second. If you were that far in debt and a buddy came to you with a great business opportunity, what would you tell him? In fact, what would your Christmas look like? We would be at the soup kitchen, unlike the FAA who just spent $5 million of our taxpayer money on a weeklong party. This reckless spending has to stop.
